For many cat owners, their cat is part of the family and want to provide them with the best quality of life as possible.

Requirements

Cats require food that is suited to their specific physiological and physical needs. As cats are obligate carnivores, they have a higher protein requirement than dogs; at least one-third of a healthy adult cat’s diet should consist of protein.

It’s also essential that cat food recipes are rich in the amino acid taurine and Vitamin A. Ensuring cats receive enough taurine is extremely important to support eye and heart health. A diet that is rich in Vitamin A is vital to prevent skin and coat deterioration, maintain eye health and prevent muscle weakness.

Meat

An important feature in a cats diet is meat. Cats are carnivores, their gastrointestinal tracts and metabolism have adapted to eating meat. Whilst plant-based ingredients can’t be digested well by cats and require essential nutrients such as vitamins and amino acids that only meat can provide to them.

Our recipes have been formulated to provide all the nutrients for the everyday health and well being of cats as well as added functional ingredients like cellulose to help support the reduction of hairballs.
As cats are so notoriously particular when it comes to mealtimes, we’ve carried out a series of feeding trials to make sure we are confident our recipes are palatable to cats. With an assortment of the finest freshly prepared animal protein sources, we can be sure that cats love our recipes.
