Description

Grain Free Working & Sporting Dog Rabbit – 15kg Bag

Provide your active dog with a novel protein source using Grain Free Rabbit with Sweet Potato & Blackberry. This 15kg bag features 50% rabbit and turkey content.

Why Consider Grain Free Rabbit for Active Dogs?

This recipe offers highly digestible novel protein from rabbit, combined with turkey and beneficial superfoods.

Key Benefits:

  • Novel Protein Source: 50% total rabbit & turkey. Includes minimum 26% freshly prepared rabbit. Rabbit is highly digestible and a source of zinc and iron. Provides 26.5% Crude Protein.
  • Energy Sources: Contains 339 kcal/100g Metabolizable Energy, with Sweet Potato providing complex carbohydrates. (See Suitability Advice below).
  • Digestive Health: Contains pre-biotics MOS & FOS which may help promote healthy gut bacteria and aid digestion.
  • Skin & Coat: Added Omega 3 supplement helps support healthy skin and coat.
  • Immune Support: Blackberry is rich in Vitamin C.
  • Natural & Grain-Free: No added artificial colours or preservatives.

Important Suitability Advice for Working/Sporting Dogs:

  • Energy & Fat Levels: This formula is based on a standard adult dog recipe with 11% Crude Fat and a very low 339 kcal/100g metabolizable energy.
  • High Energy Needs: Working, sporting, and highly energetic dogs require significantly more energy (calories) and typically higher fat levels than standard adult dogs to fuel their activity, endurance, and recovery.
  • Likely Shortfall: Due to its low fat and very low energy density, this specific Rabbit formula (GFR) is nutritionally unsuitable and inadequate for the high demands of working or sporting dogs. Feeding this food would almost certainly fail to provide the necessary fuel.
  • Recommendation: Do not rely on this food for highly active dogs. Monitor your dog’s body condition extremely carefully if using this food for moderately active dogs and be prepared to substantially increase feeding amounts. It is strongly recommended to choose a food specifically formulated and labelled for “Working”, “Sporting”, or “Active” dogs, which will have the appropriate higher fat and energy density tailored to their needs. Consult the manufacturer or a canine nutritionist if unsure.
